Chic Green Glass

I adore our chic green glass bottles. It was one of the earliest and easiest decisions we made at Votary. The deep emerald green of the glass acts as a natural preservative, so all the goodness in the pure plant oils is beautifully safeguarded.  I also just loved the colour, and how elegant and chic they looked on my bathroom shelf.

There was something so instantly appealing about their luminous emerald shine.  It also lent itself so beautifully to the rose gold art deco labels and the packaging we later created. Green is also believed to be the most restful and relaxing colour for the human eye to look at. It’s a colour which connotes fresh peace and calm.

I also love our chic green glass bottles when they’re empty. In the spirit of re-cycling, I  use them to hold single stems of flowers. I love the way a line of them looks along my table. In springtime I fill them with a bluebell; in high summer white cosmos or a vibrant Californian orange poppy. At Christmas they look fabulous with a sprig of glossy, gorgeous greenery.
